Welcome, everyone, to the official Polyvore blog.
Polyvore has been around for almost a year now and, with 100,000 members, it's definitely time we started talking to all of you! We're excited to get this up and running so we can share with you what we're doing with Polyvore, the things we're discovering within the community, as well as hear what you have to say.
Since this is our very first post, some introductions are probably in order. We'll go first :-)
The Polyvore team consists of Pasha Sadri, Jianing Hu, Guangwei Yuan and me, Sarah Cooper. Pasha, Jianing, and Guangwei are the co-founders of Polyvore, as well as it's engineers and designers. And me - I'm employee number one! I've been working at Polyvore for a few weeks now, but I've been a member of Polyvore for much longer. I'm probably going to be doing a little of everything, including answering your questions, responding to feedback, and running this blog.
I've been following the growth of Polyvore for a few months, both on the site and around the web. One amazing thing I've noticed is how many of you like to share your Polyvore sets on your own blogs. (You can embed any Polyvore set on any webpage - just click the "Embed" link in the right hand column of the set page).
Some of your blogs are focused on fashion but many of you are simply sharing whatever you want to. In any case, we absolutely love reading about your experience with Polyvore. One such blog is called The Polyvore Press. It's a fabulous online magazine that we recently discovered and it was launched by Polyvore's own CityGirl. The first issue is full of insights, advice and Polyvore goodness, so definitely check it out. Also check out the Polyvore Forums, where you can connect with other Polyvore fans.
Rachel Best also just wrote about Polyvore on her blog, in a post lovingly called Polyvore Amor. If you're new to Polyvore, check out her description of the site and the Editor, as well as her beautiful sets.
