Summer-Fall Cardigans

A lightweight cardigan is the perfect item to help transition your wardrobe from summer to fall, when it's too warm to wear winter clothes but too cool to wear your summery tank tops and shorts. Buy a cardigan in a non-bulky fabric like jersey or tencel, since those can be scrunched up and stored in your bag. When it cools off in the evenings, you can throw it over your summer clothes for a warmer but still seasonally appropriate look. I'm a big fan of this slouchy, gray grandpa cardigan from Urban Outfitters.

Here are a few ideas for how to wear it.

Over a pretty dress with flats

With a tank top, jeans, and gladiator sandals

Over a tank, colorful skirt, and cute hat

Belted over shorts

With a cami and jeans

Over a high-waisted skirt and heels

With a t-shirt and skirt

Cardigans alongside boyfriend blazers are a great fit to include in your wardrobe.

I'd love to wear a flavescent white top or skirt paired with a gray or black blazer- a simple fashion statement.
