Guest Blog: Statement Heels with Little White Dress

Nadiya: My Point of View.

We all have that white dress and we know the hardest thing to do when it comes to a white dress is finding the right shoes. Should you wear platforms? Flats? Heels? Boots, maybe? The answer to all of those is YES. It can be a bit confusing as to which shoes for which dress but I am here to help.

This is a Herve Leger bandage dress that we are all familiar with, it's a cocktail dress so I'd advise you to wear it with flashy heels but a subtle color so the dress will not be over looked due to the over flashy heels. I picked Fendi heels that have a few details to them but they still make a big statement.
For this dress, it can be either dressed down or up depending on the occasion of course. This dress gives a wider variety as to which shoes to wear. I obviously picked bold black ankle boots but because the boots are over powering the dress a bit, I added a wide belt to balance the attention.
For this, you have to look at the bigger picture, everything besides the boots are a flushed color, easily forgotten but not so fast! These beautiful RED ankle boots are here to the rescue! Notice that the dress is a bit looser so I added boots that are JUST below the ankle making the illusion of a longer leg. Be careful not to wear ankle boots with a dress below the knees unless you have the height requirements of a model. :]

This outfit is simple and chic but adding a little jazz to the shoes makes it a lot more appealing. Everything is black and white and the Dolce Gabbana dress is more formal so ankle boots wouldn't be a good choice but a orange Dior heels are better.

Most of all, you need to think of the event and the dress' length, color, fabric and the look you want to go for. If your shoes are flashy and bold, do not pile on accessories, focus on one thing. GOOD LUCK!

Congrats Nadiya! You did a great job on this post. I love how you showed that you can mix in different colors with the white dresses (other than black or grey). <3
