How to Wear Feathers

Back in February at the Fall/Winter 2008 collections, feathers featured prominently on the catwalk. Monique Lhuillier showed a lovely set of feathery evening gowns, and Ralph Lauren used feathers in his skirt trims. Feathers also made an appearance at Betsey Johnson, Bill Blass, Derek Lam, Badgley Mischka, and J.Mendel.

Now that fall is finally here, it's time to pull on your feathers. Here a few pieces that take the trend from runway to rack.

I made a set with the green feather skirt by Boss Black, too. Mine is a bit more casual kind of urban chic. Here is the link if you wanna see it

"Last week we had cropped tops, now it’s time for feathers because you requested it, so let’s see how to wear feathers. Though, in matter of style, I associate feathers with bohemian tastes there is more to them than only boho chic.
Feathers are symbolic. In different cultural backgrounds and periods in history wearing feathers means more than a style choice but symbolizes truth, freedom, enlightenment, courage, protection, spiritual awareness, hope, and faith."
