Polyvore is Hiring!
Are you interested in working at a fun, fast-paced startup in the San Francisco Bay Area? Polyvore is a fashion/shopping 2.0 startup located in Mountain View, CA. We're a small, well-funded, technology-driven company that strives to build products that delight our users. Our team consists of ex-Google, ex-Yahoo and ex-eBay employees. PR / Marketing / Community Manager
Be Polyvore's liaison to the outside world, as well as a liaison to our growing user community (250,000+ registered users). We're looking for someone enthusiastic and creative who loves fashion and is interested in helping with press, ad campaigns, viral marketing, blogging, community outreach, and support. If you're already an avid Polyvore user and are located in the Bay Area, we encourage you to get in touch with us.
Software Engineers
Are you an engineer with several years of software development experience? We have a ton of interesting projects for you to work on. If you're a JavaScript guru, we have a powerful AJAX application (the Polyvore editor) that you can help beef up. If you have a background in data mining, we're sitting on a goldmine of interesting shopping data that you can play with. If you're an infrastructure / backend person, you can help us scale our systems to support our ever-growing traffic (the chart below is real).
Senior System Administrator (Linux)
Want to help us set up our first colo? We're looking for a hardcore Linux geek with knowledge of systems and database configuration/tuning. As our sysadmin, you'll have ownership of Polyvore's systems infrastructure, including hardware, networking, security, OS, monitoring, database, web server, cache server, and file systems.
Benefits include competitive pay and equity, great medical/dental/vision plans, free food, and a fun work environment.
