How to Wear Harem Pants

MC Hammer had the right idea back in the 1990s, hence, the harem pants are back. This trend is sure to big in the spring, too. But here are some hot ways to rock these comfortable and flowy pants this winter. Go for the silks and lycras when sporting this trend to create a drapey effect without bulk. Heels will also help elongate your legs, so opt for the height. Once you perfect the look, you'll be singing "U Can't Touch This."

Guest Blog: Inspirations for Christmas

This guest blog was written by Fiona Mehta, a BARE magazine writer and stylist. BARE is a magazine that highlights self-expression, fashion and trends as seen on the UC Berkeley campus. Be sure to check out the BARE blog for insight into the world of Cal fashion.

Finally, 'tis the season! Gift wrap, hot chocolate, and hoping someone remembered you pointing out those shoes at the mall. Christmas time means fashion limbo, a time when anything goes. It's a great chance to experiment with those once-a-year holiday pieces, but there's no reason you can't look classy and fabulous while doing so. So get out those snowman socks, the Christmas brooch, the Santa hat, and full speed ahead! But please, unless you're going to an ugly sweater party, leave any sequined/rhinestoned/embellished monstrosities buried in your closet. And remember, the goal is to be innovative, not give g-ma a heart attack.

These are "vores" drawn up on, the free web application that lets you mix and match images to give and get inspiration for style.

Have a lot of time on your hands now that finals are over and you're done catching up on your favorite shows? Polyvore is just the new addicting thing you need! Take it from a veteran, it's pretty daunting to first start, but once you're hooked, there's no turning back. Polyvore gives you a blank canvas and all the tools needed to create a perfect outfit. It has an endless database of shoes, bags, accessories, backgrounds, props, etc ranging from Forever 21 to net-a-porter to MySpace images (seriously).

If you had those Balanciagas, how would you wear them? If you were going to a movie premiere, please show me how much fiercer than Lauren Conrad you'd be. So go ahead, pick a theme, and give it a try.

New Email Verification Requirement

It came to our attention that members with AT&T and SBC email addresses were being blocked from receiving emails from Polyvore. We've spoken with AT&T and the block should be lifted over the next couple of days. Because of this, we are extending the grace period to verify your email addresses. You now have until Monday, December 29 to verify your email address.

Just wanted to clarify a couple of things:

-If you don't see the link to verify your email address, it's because it's already been verified. So no action is necessary on your part.

-For those of you who still need to verify your email address, you can do so anytime between now and December 25.

-Existing sets will not be deleted, but if you do not verify your email address, you will no longer be able to publish new sets after December 25.

Beginning December 25, Polyvore members will be required to verify their email addresses in order to fully engage with the Polyvore community. After December 25, if your email address hasn't been verified, you won't be able to publish sets, private message other members, comment on or favorite sets, or create groups. Don't let that happen!

Follow these easy steps to verify your email address:

1. Click on "My Profile"
2. Click on the link to verify your email address next to the "Edit my Profile" option

Strut your stuff, ladies. Jewel adorned heels are a great option for the holidays, adding that extra sparkle and shine to one of the least expected parts of your outfits. Pair these fancy shoes with skinny pants and skirts and expose that stiletto!
