Welcome A Peace Treaty

Did someone say fashion with purpose? We like it already.

Let us introduce you to Polyvore newbies, A Peace Treaty. We're pretty inspired by the story of how founders Farah Malik and Dana Arbib conceived the idea behind these beautiful scarves and stoles. A Peace Treaty was born from a pact between the girls to create employment for skilled artisans living in places of socio-economic strife.

Each season, they travel to a particular region and seek out local village artisans to re-define an accessory, creating limited edition pieces in style-unique colorways. A few pieces from their Spring/Summer 2009 collection are on Polyvore, so we invite you to check them out! No matter the time of year, you can always find ways to accessorize with a scarf...and you can make a difference while doing it.

AWW awesome, i was in their site last night, love the story and how one founder is a muslim and the other Jewish, awesome,love the neon scarf, i actually "borrowed" it and added it to my items, lol
