Tell us about yourself.
I’m a 34 former marketing executive; I ditched the corporate jungles of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (my hometown) three years ago to pursue my dream of becoming a personal stylist. I have a cute 8 year old daughter, Rafaela, she is a budding fashionista. I love listening music, shopping, traveling, exercising, good restaurants and movies and making a lot of sets of course!!!!!!!
Describe your sense of style/fashion.
I think my style is basic, my favorite outfits are jeans with white t-shirt, LBD, but I try to have at least one item that is eye-catching, because I love colors and I am obsessed with bags, shoes and accessories in general, so I always improve my look with a colorful scarf, high heels, fab bags or belts.
How did you discover Polyvore?
About one year ago, from my friends of FashMatch.com, another fashion site that shut down.
Tell us a little about what you use Polyvore for and why. What do you like about Polyvore?
I’m totally addicted to Polyvore, because I heart fashion and here I have access to a lot of online stores, products of the best brands, information of fashion, trends, but the best thing is I can express my creativity and style making sets.
I also love my Polyvore friends, the people here are so nice, talent and friendly and I really like seeing their sets and learn about their culture (here I meet people all around the world).
The cool part, is I use Polyvore to work, too. I made sets for one of top fashion blogs on the earth, Fashiontribes.com.
Describe your set creation process. Where do you get inspiration
for your sets? How do you pick a theme? How do you find your items?
I usually start my sets with an item I love, It can be a fabulous handbag, a pair of shoes, bright sunglasses, a lipstick or a skirt, than I began to match it with other items, colors…In general I find my items exploring Polyvore.
I make many sets inspired on my daughter, so I have tons of colorful and fun sets, with floral skirts, animal tee, cute flats, mix of patterns. But when I am making sets for Fashiontribes for example, it changes, I have to make sets with outfits I would wear.
What are your favorite online stores and designers you like to clip products from?
My favorite online store is Net-A-Porter.com, they have brands I love as Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney and Christian Louboutin. They always have new products easy to clip to Polyvore.
What are your 3 favorite sets of the ones you've made?
This one is very fun and cute, I made it to add “The animal contest” on my group.
This one I made for the forziere contest, it is so me and I’d love wear it.
I love the mix of mint green and soft pink in this one:
