The new profile page format is more blog-like, with chronologically ordered entries, bigger images, and full set descriptions. Every set you create is like a blog post. People can like your sets directly from your profile page and even subscribe to your profile via RSS. We also show posts for collections you create, items you clip each day, and your favorites for that day. If you want to customize what post types appear on your profile, you can do so via the profile settings page. If you want to quickly browse through a gallery of someone's sets or favorites or groups or contacts, just use the links on the right side of the profile page.
Think of yourself as the Anna Wintour of your very own personal fashion magazine! So go ahead and inspire the world with your gorgeous creations!

i love change, but this is a bit over the top. the profiles are flashy, and I hate how they mainly show what your favorites are, not YOUR sets. it is a bit confusing to get around, and the sets are WAYYYY to big.

I love it, it's great! Just know that the majority of us are very grateful of all you do. I wish people would be more considerate when telling that they don't like it. They should at least try it out.
Things I like:
1. the showcase at the top! trendy and cool!
2. how you can fave a set without going to the page! It's faster and I think many more areas should be like that on polyvore!
3. the clipped sets showcase! love it!
Things I hate:
1. the info on the side. I think it makes the info look ugly and it's difficult to read!
2. the huge sets. I know you can change it to not display favorites but I still don't like it! I liked the old set display, maybe it could be a little bigger, and with the fave option below it? (still in a horizontal line like the old one)
I think the info and stuff should be the same, only with the showcase at the top and some of the new features.

If you choose to keep them, the one thing that I would like to see changed would be HTML, VERY SIMPLE, in the "about me" spot. I would like to have it like how it use to be, allow me to add spaces between two sentences, return the lines, etc. I don't like how all my stuff is all clustered together. :)

What you should do is give us 5-ish different layouts to choose from.
Everything right now is too big, and all out information we typed in is smashed over to the right and it looks sloppy becasue you wont allow line breaks anymore.
TO BE HONEST I DONT LIKE IT AT ALL. its soo confusing and it doesnt show what's good and the main thing about polyvore. People should have on their profile pages your sets first! The Page is so big and i cant find what im looking for. Its hard to find sets that i want. Wow! The new profile page is definitely flashy but more complicated to navigate. It also doesn't focus on your sets, which is why people visit your profile page in the first place. How can people get a sense of your set style if so many styles are represented (i.e. the first large set image)?

I personally don't like it. The images are too big, you can't see your collections and it's not clear where your sets are and where your sets you favorited are. The old way was easier to view and gave less focus on the profile and more on the work. And I loved having my drafts to view. And the different collections of others made sets easier to see too.
Please change it back. The old profile was much better and easy to navigate just as it was. I know youre getting mixed feelings about it but please take the negatives into consideration. It makes me sad that when i check my profile, the first set i see isnt even mine. Not really advertising my sets if someone else is front and center. Sorry for not liking your new changes but i had to voice my opinion.
Sorry, but the new profile pages do not show a personal profile. Our own sets, not our contact's sets or faves, tell the most about us! Scrolling through these large-size sets made by various members is confusing and unnecessary. It was quicker and easier to view the thumbnail images on a single page. Could we have the option to return to the previous style of profile as an option? Thanks for considering this as an option!

Worst idea Polyvore has ever had. Hey Polyvore! There are many different views about the profile layout. Personally, I like the old one better just because it was easier to navigate and we know it and are used to it. The thing that i do like about the new profile are that they display your sets bigger! And another thing about the new profiles, i don't really like how its more like a blog. I thought polyvore was a fashion/art website, but if your trying to go more like a blog, the changes work well for that.

Polyvore isn't a blog first of all. Second, what you favorited doesn't really matter now does it? Our sets aren't shown if we like a lot of sets, the layout is confusing and way too big to follow. Frankly Polyvore staff, I think you did this for the people just visiting the site, not for the actual users as you said in the first sentence of this blog. That's a little selfish now isn't it? CHANGE IT BACK!!!!!!!

I was so sad when I saw the changes! It seems so messy and just not the way I want to look at my profile page. It just seems like a BIG hodge podge. The old way was awesome and so much better to navigate. It is not that I don't get how it works. I get it as I peruse many blogs . . . but I don't think this is a fitting way for Polyvore. It gives me a headache just to look at profiles. I don't really even want to make sets anymore. It would be nice to be given the choice of the old way or the new.
THIS IS SO HORRIBLE. Pleasssssssse give back the old layout or at least an option for those of us who want to see everything in the old layout.
I like it better than the old way, which appeared moderately amateurish. This is a nice step up. However, a couple things to think about...
1. Could we have a way of displaying our collections again? A link on the side just isn't enough for me, and the showcase is only one collection.
2. Could you put our profile title in the "polyvore" font? The Arial is a tad too dull. Even Century Gothic would be preferable.
But I definitely like the new look, and I LOVE the big sets! Everything looks so glossy and bright!

the bigger images of sets are really nice but i think it would be a good idea to listen to what the users are saying about it being confusing. i like the profile setup much more when favorites and sets are divided. it's more confusing to see both together and have to distinguish between the two. sets are much more important in a profile i think, and it should be the main focus as opposed to favorites.

I'm sorry, but I absolutely HATE it. The profiles were perfectly fine the way they were before. The sets are way too big &it makes it super difficult to find older sets, the way it's set up now. It's just too complicated. Please change it back.

The biggest problem I have with it is the non-separation of favorites and sets. As I don't have time to make sets often they don't show up on my profile page, yet I would rather have a division between the two so people can see more of my own sets and less of what I liked. Other than that it is growing on me, but without some changes to the division I really don't like it.

All my organized items are GONE! Now I really don't want to make sets anymore! All the things I use most and had organized are GONE . . . GONE . . . GONE!! This is the WORST feauture ever!! I'm not sure just what I think about it yet. I think it would be nicer if the showcase of the recent sets could be smaller/just previews, and an easier way to navigate to the collections and such. Also, the About Me information would look better if it were at the top of the page.
I like it! I like that the recent sets are the big size, they look so much better. And it's cool to see what people have favorited and clipped recently.
I did figure out where the organized items are. Thanks for not taking this away! I thought it was gone and I was ready to throw in the towel! But . . . to my surprise . . . they are still there!
I really enjoy the new polyvore page. It's really awesome and everyone can just get over that it's brand new. IT TAKES TIME TO LOVE SOMETHING! So everyone should just deal with it and they can get used to it. Their sets are displayed so much better too! So why wouldn't you like it!?

I like the general layout, but the sizes look odd. The size of the sets was obviously made so that sets could be viewed and noticed better, but it looks like everything else was unimportant and shoved to the side. I don't really like it, I think it should be an optional thing.

Please creating an option in which we can change back to the 'classic' look if we so choose. I understand the polyvore team works hard to please it's community, so I don't want to bash it outright. But the old style profile felt so much more personal, like your page. A blog style profile in this environment makes little sense, and I'm actually weary of looking at other user's profiles...it's just too...disorganized. So if we could at least having the setting option to keep it the same if we so desire, that would be fabulous.

It makes me not want to go on polyvore because I can't tell what sets are whose and which is which. Graphics load slowly and choppily now as the pictures on the profile page are too large. It has slowed down my computer to the point where it is frustrating for the user. It also, of course, now slows down other computers who share my in-home network. This will decrease the amount of time spent on Polyvore as family members cannot share the internet efficiently. It is time to re-think this new layout!

To be completely honest, I love the new profile pages!(: At first, I didn't know if I would like it since the sets were so big and you had to scroll for a little while. However, I love how it's organized. It's like a book - my sets of the day with my favorites of the day, and then the next day. Like my own journal - I love it! I also love how you can see the profile info - contest wins, descriptions, favorites, contacts, etc. all along the side without having to click back to the profle page. I know a lot of people are upset about it, but I think it's a great change - something that they'll come to love & appreciate in time! Thank you so much Polyvore!(:

I very strongly dislike the new format! It makes it much harder to comment on people's sets from their home page, I hate the large pictures of my sets, and the format is confusing. If I wanted to do a blog, I'd do a blog. One of the things I like about Polyvore is that it is (was at least) more focused on the creativity. It had a simple framework that allowed complex creativity. This is a confusing framework that makes it much harder to do what most of us are here to do--make sets! If it becomes just another blog site, I'm gone! Please change the format back ASAP.
Ok, well. I do not enjoy the new polyvore its too much like a blog, we are an independent site, we just started to love the new polyvore and everything about it, and now its become a confusing cluttered page. I honestly like it the way you had before, Please don't change it, again.

Truthfully I hate the way it is set up. I liked how the profile was set up before. I think that they should change it back. But thats just me.
Your reason for changing the profile is one of the main reasons I DON'T like it: "Did you know that millions of people come to Polyvore every month to find style inspiration from your sets? Today we're pleased to announce a change to Polyvore's profile pages that makes it easier for your fans to follow your taste." This makes it clear you're all about getting more and more people on Polyvore. Fair enough, but I am not interested in "fans." I have friends and contacts but I'm on here for the creativity. In the process, I've learned more about designers and fashion than I ever have before. But I will spend less time here now because your changes make it harder for me to follow the people whose sets I care about. In other words, you've just made it harder for the "fans" to find other people's work. Change it back, please.
No one wants another lame blog imitator. Please don't go down that road--there's too much of that online as it is. Polyvore has something special, and you're ruining it.
mmhh... it makes hardly to see my own sets. But i'm still ok with this. :D

I wish my favourites were less prominant and my own sets were more prominent. I mean, I want it to display MY sets. :/
One thing I left out in my previous set is that I know you can make it so my favorites aren't displayed but I want them to be displayed only, SMALLER.

At first I wasn't too sure... but it's actually a ton nicer. I think those of you that aren't liking it just have to take some time to get used to it and discover the new features.

I appreciate that you guys are constantly looking for ways to improve Polyvore (thank you!). That being said, I'm not crazy about these changes. Why do our profiles have to look like a blog? I don't find this appealing and I think users that do are already displaying their sets this way via blog sites (in which case the changes are kinda redundant). Also, the new look seems very cluttered and confusing on first glance. I've already disabled showing items I clip (what is the purpose?) and sets I favorite (because depending on my activity my profile might appear solely as advertising other members work). And it seems collections are only featured when they are updated (other than the showcase and the link on the right?). This is unfortunate. Another negative is the disappearance of the "organize items" link on our profiles (now only accessible via the editor).
I'm not entirely opposed to the new look of our profiles (I definitely like that our sets are larger!)- but I mostly dislike how everything is organized by date and order of our activity (like blogs *sigh*). Maybe with some tweaking the new profiles can be organized to everybody's liking. (Or we can have optional/ customizable profile features?)

firstly id like to thank polyvore for trying think of ways to make polyvore better... but this change is NOT FOR THE BETTER.
i think its a lot less personal and messy... I also dont like how its a lot like a blog or a facebook/myspace profile... its so ununique now...
PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK... KEEP POLYVORE UNIQUE AND NOT LIKE OTHER BLOG/PROFILE SITES...

Uhm... I'm not sure I'm the biggest fan of the new profil-page. I would REALLY by glad if you gave us the "organize items" link back. Why have you deleted it and not put it up with the other links?

personally i love simple things and i want to see the things at the first sight. that's why new polyvore is complicated to me may be just because it's so new.

And I do not like it used to be more careful, and now sets are large and it is not clear where the hostess set profile, and where the one that she likes. I would be very grateful to you if you change everything back.

I HATE THIS NEW PAGE< GET IT BACK TO HOW IT USED TO BE- OR ELSE?
Perhaps a better resoulaton for both of the complaints that seem to be popping up for a lot of people would be to keep the old profile page, this makes the site uniform and aesthetically cohesive, and then give people the option of a link to their profile page i.e. the "more" button you already have, and under the cut, have the option to customize it.
Quite like a live journal profile page, which is uniform for the site, but then people have the option to customize it how they would like, of course you could just have perhaps 3 choices so as to not overload the Polyvore site, but this still would constitute as some sort of control of customization of their profile page.
Having such a large array of "loud" public pages somewhat overloads peoples senses and ruins the classic cohesion of the Polyvore site, with this you have both complaints addressed with the normal front page and then some "under the cut" customization

Hello It is very unfortunate that you have changed the layout, because the new is very confusing and unclear. The various groups are lost on the screen (favorites, sets, etc.) Do not make the new design please either undo or smaller pictures in the middle of the whole structured. With so many scenes you usually see the forest for the trees anymore.
might take a bit of getting use of but its looks good!
i like how everything's organized in the new layout, but it makes the page loads slower. i think it's better if there's an option to choose between the old layout or the new one, and i see that there are many ppl who wants it too.
