Here are some of her sets:
Tell us about yourself.
Hello lovelies! I'm Hennie Henne from Bucharest, the beautiful capital of Romania. I'm 22 years old and getting closer and closer to finishing college where I study Art History. Few things are constant in my life and my love for fashion and design is one of them. Working as a part-time fashion consultant really helped me in pursuing my dream to be a stylist. I also love dancing (can't live without music and my mp3s), sewing, watching movies and taking long walks (nature is a magical thing to me). I would love to travel the world. I want to see New York and watch people walking down the streets putting on their own runway show.
How would you describe your sense of style?
I am a girlie girl, but not a typical one. I love to wear soft tones, full skirts and ruffles with bright colors and edgy accents like studded belts. At the moment its really cold and snowing in my city so my winter look consists of sweater dresses, leggings and over the knees boots. I have a passion for shoes, mostly high heels and I like to design my own bags by hand (from old jeans, leather vests or even sweaters). I can honestly say I have few clothes in my closet that haven't been 'touched' by a scissor or a needle. Now my dad hides his shirts from me because I like to transform them into dresses.
What's hot in your 'hood right now?
I have seen many girls wearing washed out jeans this season. I'm always happy to see that, denim looks great on everyone and is really in this year. Also, biker leather jackets are a huge trend here, I see it both on the streets worn with jeans or leggings by day or at the clubs worn with dresses or skirts by night.
What's one thing you wish people would wear more of?
I love observing what people are wearing when I'm sitting in the subway. Most of the time I see a lot of grey and dark tones in their clothes. Color is a wonderful accessory no matter the season. Colorful coats and a lot of prints, that's what I would like to see more of.
How did you discover Polyvore?
A friend from school sent me the link to the site one day when we were chatting about an episode of The Hills. She was searching a dress worn by Lauren Conrad. Her name is Maddy, known in the Polyvore world as PinK_BaByDoLL. Thank you for introducing me to Polyvore, sweetie!
Tell us a little about what you use Polyvore for and why. What do you like about Polyvore?
When I create a set, I escape into my own little magical world where designer shoes and frilled skirts are as close as the touch of a button. I make my own outfits, I tell my own stories. Polyvore helps me free my imagination. I can make whatever I would like to, there are no limits. I decide.
With Polyvore, I'm continuously up-to-date with the latest fashion news and I love it when I recognize clothes or accessories that I've seen here in fashion magazines or worn by celebrities. Something that keeps me addicted is also the positive and warming atmosphere of the people here. They are the ones that make this site so lovable.
If you could share one tip or trick with a new Polyvore member, what would it be?
Dear new member, Polyvore is all about you! Don't ever be discouraged about the amount of faves you are getting. Your sets are a definition of who you are and that's the focus you should keep when publishing one. Remember to center your sets, it's a fun button.
Do you have a favorite fashion designer or style icon who has influenced you?
I'm completely swept away by the Bal-mania movement and I think Christophe Decarnin is a genius. He completely reinvented military jackets and the whole rocker princess look which I simply adore. He is the reason I've hand sewn some of my jackets with chains and epaulets. I also love Betsey Johnson for her lolita outfits and for her heart shaped accessories! Her models are like walking cupcakes and its always delicious! I adore the ultra-glam frilled Lanvin, the always outta-this-world fantastic Alexander McQueen, the bag guru Marc Jacobs and the shoe-master Christian Louboutin. I love everything about Lady Gaga, both fashion and musically. I am a SATC babe and Carrie Bradshaw remains a major style icon to me. There is one look that I love stealing from her, soft textured dress with over-sized chunky knitted cardigans over. I also like Emma Watson's style (she's uniquely beautiful and looks fabulous in anything), Beyonce's style (she always knows how to choose clothes that hug her beautiful natural curves) and my currently favorite model is Sessilee Lopez, whom I discovered here on Polyvore.
What on line stores do you like to clip from?
Now I feel like a bad Polyvorian. The site gives us the unique possibility to clip whatever items we like from different other sites and I have never used it. But I don't need to clip because Polyvore has all that I need to create my sets :)
What are your 3 favorite sets of the ones you've made?
What's your favorite set created by another Polyvore member?
It's hard to pick just one but there's no doubt: I love this set! It has so many things that I like : sparkles, butterflies and delicious pastel tones! I adore the items she chose and most of all how she placed them in her set. I can only imagine the hard work she put in to fit every item so perfectly. She is one of my favorite people here and I love her work.
We interviewed Empress-Sha last and she wanted us to ask you what keeps you excited and logging into Polyvore each day?
Thank you sweet Empress-Sha for asking such a lovely question! I love creating sets! There's nothing like the excitement you feel when you are seeing your sets come together. It's like a Christmas morning everyday! Naughty or nice, your gifts are comments and faves. We all wanna see what we've got! I love that Polyvore is always up to date with whats new when it comes to styles, new trends or up and coming models. I love the Polyvore community! Among the site members I found some extraordinary gifted friends, who are not only talented but also kind. I want to take the opportunity to thank them all!
Got any feature requests for the Polyvore team?
Thank you Polyvore. You have been my addiction for almost 2 years (celebration in March!) and I'm never disappointed. I always embrace every change the Polyvore team makes positively. You wonderful people embellish the site with new features even before I could suggest it and every time is for the best. Right now as I type this message, I noticed we have a new subscribe button to receive people's feeds. That's wonderful! Was just thinking about that! Because I have the opportunity to ask for another request, I would love it if I could search among my own saved items like in the main page, by color and type. Thank you so much team and whoever took the time to read this! I'm truly honored! Muuuuah!
PS: I am okay!
