Here are some of her sets:
Tell us about yourself.
I live in Shanghai, the current host city of World Expo. I am 32 years old and I work for a fashion PR Agency. We organize PR events for our clients, labels like Louis Vuitton, Dior, Tod's, Armani, Prada, Ferragamo, etc. You name it. I love fashion, an industry which is relatively young in China. We have a lot of opportunities to create and bring new things to this industry, which for me is fascinating. Before my fashion PR days, I worked for McCann-Erickson and News Corp. I have always been in the entertainment-related industries.
I left the fashion industry for a while to work for a local cable TV station as the head of their event department. But I found that it was too grass-roots for me. I love the world of glamour. I love to work with people who are creative, fashionable, stylish and beautiful.
How would you describe your sense of style/fashion?
l like simple stuff, which are well-designed and well made. I love sharp, sophisticated and a bit overpowering looks; I find they help my work. Clients do look at what you are wearing and carrying for the first time, then they come immediately to your professionalism and efficiency, like any other industries. I am a dress-to-the-nines girl. I just enjoy dressing up.
What's hot in your 'hood right now?
Hats and shades. Shorts are also everywhere. All because of the heat.
What's one thing you wish people would wear more of?
High-heels. I find them irresistibly sexy. But I have to admit if I am out and about with my 3 and half year old toddler son without my husband, I'd definitely wear flats :D.
How did you discover Polyvore?
I was viewing a fashion blog site and found the mentioning of Polyvore and I have been in love with it ever since.
Tell us a little about what you use Polyvore for and why. What do you like about Polyvore?
Making sets helps me decide on next season's purchase. It also helps me dress for my daily look. And I love Polyvore as it is a 99.9% women's site. So it is free from a lot of things. The girls on Polyvore are amazing! They are inspiring and so talented.
On average, how much time per week do you spend on Polyvore?
I am a Poly-junkie :D. I'd say 20 hours per week at least.
If you could share one tip or trick with a new Polyvore member, what would it be?
I don't have any tips and tricks. I guess I would most likely say Polyvore is wonderful, have great fun!
Do you have a favorite fashion designer or style icon who has influenced you?
I would say Alba Elbaz. We worked together in Beijing for his show at the courtyard of The National Museum. It was emotional. Our company also hosted a welcome cocktail reception at Bei Hai Park. The site used to be the library of a Qing Dynasty emperor. Dom Perignon was the major sponsor. I remember I was wearing this Lanvin bustier dress with Lanvin necklace. When Alba Elbaz saw me, he came over and simply ducked my necklace under my dress. I was stunned by the fabulous result.
Coco Chanel is my all time fashion icon. Trends come and go, style is timeless.
And I love Victoria Beckham. There is no such thing as being over-dressed. Looking beautiful every single moment in life is worth celebrating.
What online stores do you like to clip from?
Well, I like to clip from Net-A-Porter, My Theresa, The Corner, farfetch.com, and Browns for fashion items. And Art + Commerce for photos. If I see an item is fascinating, I will log on the website and explore myself. I just had fun clipping design photos on leiweb.it.
What are your 3 favorite sets of the ones you've made?
I like this set because it was my first contest and it won a 2nd place.
The first set I used interior photos. I have passion for interior styling and photography besides fashion.
The first set I put furniture in.
What's your favorite set created by another Polyvore member?
I don't have just 1 favourite set, I have many. If I have to pick just one, I know it would be from Natasha 11's collection. They are simply fabulous beyond words. She has got this fashion instinct, an eye for beautiful things, which is what I love about.
Got any feature requests for the Polyvore team?
Nope. All is good.
