We want Polyvore to be a fun and safe environment for everyone, and so we've created a set of Community Guidelines to help explain what's acceptable on Polyvore and what's not. However, it's come to our attention that some members have been clipping personal images of others without permission -- which is a serious violation of our rules. Please take a moment to read our policy in regard to personal photos, items and roleplay on Polyvore:
- It is NOT OK to upload personal photos of other people to Polyvore without explicit permission. For example, clipping someone else's personal photo from a social networking site without consent is not acceptable.
- It is especially NOT OK to clip photos of babies and children to Polyvore. Since you must be at least 13 years old in order to be a Polyvore member, uploading pictures of anyone under the age of 13 is not allowed.
- It is NOT OK to create or partake in roleplays that have to do with family life or adoption. Many people do not want their photos being used even for fictional stories. As a rule of thumb, always be mindful of other people's feelings, property and privacy.
- There is no such thing as 'private items.' Any images you clip to Polyvore are accessible to everyone in the community. So please think twice about any photos you upload to the site as they can be used by anyone in the community.
