We have some exciting news today -- we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our Mini Editor widget and an opportunity to win $1,000 for your dream fall wardrobe!
What's the Mini Editor?
The Mini Editor is a free, easy-to-install widget that brings Polyvore's virtual styling tool to your own blog or website. If you're a blogger, you can easily add the Mini Editor to a blog post and give your readers a fun, interactive way to mix & match products and create outfits.
Here's a Mini Editor we created that shows off our top fashion picks for fall.
Powered by Polyvore
Go ahead and try making an outfit! Drag items to the canvas, resize items by dragging the corners, or rotate items by using the circle at the top of each item. Use the "Forwards" and "Backwards" buttons to reorder. When you're done, hit the "Publish" button. If you're not already signed into Polyvore, you'll be asked to log in with Polyvore or Facebook Connect. When your set is published, it'll appear in the Gallery section of the Mini Editor. Try clicking the Gallery button above to check out the sets created by visitors to our blog. Any set you publish through the Mini Editor will also appear on your Polyvore.com profile page.
Great! So how do I add a Mini Editor to my blog?
Go to the Mini Editor page, select the items you want to feature (up to 100), then copy & paste the snippet of HTML code we provide to your blog's code. It's as simple as embedding a YouTube video!
If you want to try embedding the above Mini Editor on your blog, just copy & paste this snippet of code into one of your posts:
So how do I win $1000 for my dream fall wardrobe?
To celebrate the launch of the Mini Editor, we're giving away $1000 to a blogger AND $1000 to one of their readers through our Fall Wardrobe Styling Challenge. All you have to do is create a Mini Editor filled with your favorite things for fall, post it to your blog, and encourage your readers to make outfits. Check out this post for full details.

cute idea. too bad it does not fit into the side bar of blogger.
it would be cool if one could load their own items into the widget - THAT would be something.
Polyvore, i love the Mini Editor! Thank you! You're the best. :)

Oh my gosh! I love this idea! It's awesome! And I'm glad that it's also possible for it to be used without a blog or any other side.
(If you don't have a blog just comment on one of your sets with the code, and then click on the link and it takes you to a polyvore version of it. Just remember to go back and delete your comment!)
This is awesome! You should have a phone app soon!

very cool!!! i like how we got to try it. thanks guys!
really cool! and theres my profile :)
this is a great idea ill be joining ^_^
I do not like the new polyvore at all. They're going to delete my group simply because there isn't enough activity. Some people are interested in writing and sharing that on polyvore. Some people are interested in getting actual feedback on original work in an environment they already feel safe sharing their art. Why is that so hard to believe? It's not popular fashion, but there are many other art mediums represented. Ridiculous.
i added and took out other items and added the new code to my blog, and i want to undo this and go back to what i had before, is there anyway of doing that?
best idea for a while!
do you know that your mini-editor app/widget is not working? We want to implement it on our website but are waiting until we see it is stable.
Hello!
We are Lumata (www.lumata.com) and we are now developing a social promo app for P&G Venus.
We will have promo app on Russian social network vk.com (the largest in Europe)
We want to make a "likes-based" contest for the best graduate look.
We found your MiniEditor very usefull be we cant get how we can bind user-created collage with our local user id, so we could know who is a winner.
The user path are pretty simple:
1)User opens our app
2)User creates collage
3)User publishes it
4)We take post id and bind it to user social network id (HERE WE FACE A PROBLEM)
5)User posts collage link to her wall
6)User friends vote for the best of.
7)We give a prize to the winner - Louis Vuitton clutch bag.
If only your iFrame bubbled some kind of event on submit so we could get post id.
Sure we'd love to leave item store-hotlinking in the collage gallery and all the links to polyvore.
Thank you in advance.
