Cool New Fonts in the Editor

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but sometimes a little bit of text is all you need to perfect your set! With that in mind, we've upgraded the Polyvore editor text tool with a new list of fonts, including popular ones like Impact Label (Label Gun's twin) and some new handwriting & cursive fonts. We also made it easier to change the font and color once you've added some text to your set. Let us know what you think by leaving a comment here on the blog.

Love,
The Polyvore Team

Interview with roxanaaaaaaaaaa

From celebrity-inspired looks to everyday street style, roxanaaaaaaaaaa loves it all! And she's pretty darn talented at recreating all the looks she loves on Polyvore! This aspiring stylist has an eye for fashion and the drive to make it big in the industry.

Here are some of her sets:

Tell us about yourself.

My name is Roxana, I'm 20 years old and I live in Bucharest, Romania where I study public relations and interior design. My dream is to become a stylist at a very influential fashion magazine.

How would you describe your sense of style/fashion?

I cannot describe my sense of style in one word. I actually like everything and I mean EVERYTHING! But to be more specific I absolutely adore: flats, high heels, wedges, Converse, UGGs, leggings/treggings/jeggings, skinny jeans, ripped jeans, fedora hats, beanies, leather jackets, printed T-shirts, skirts, maxi dresses, cardigans, shorts, scarves, etc. As for accessories, I wear the golden ones (huge funky rings, looong necklaces, etc.)and the ones that tell a story (vintage). I also love coloured nail polish(I always try the craziest colors).

What's hot in your 'hood right now?

Well... a lot: UGGs, jeggings, bangles, ripped jeans, wayfarers and all kinds of scarves.

What's one thing you wish people would wear more of?

Hmm...I wish girls would wear skirts or dresses more often because I'm tired of seeing them dressed like boys!

How did you discover Polyvore?

I can't remember very well...maybe from a fashion blog or something. But I started using Polyvore 2 years ago and had another account before this one.

Tell us a little about what you use Polyvore for and why. What do you like about Polyvore?

I use Polyvore because it allows me to be very creative, to create outfits like the ones I see on the runaways or in the fashion magazines. And sometimes I get inspiration from other users for my own daily outfits.

If you could share one tip or trick with a new Polyvore member, what would it be?

Just have fun because Polyvore is supposed to be relaxing! And do not copy ideas from other users- try to create your own style!

Do you have a favorite fashion designer or style icon who has influenced you?

Yes. First of all, I love avante-garde designers like Maison Martin Margiela, Alexander McQueen and Viktor & Rolf, but I also like the work of Phillip Lim and Alexander Wang. As for style icons, I have many! Victoria Beckham, the one and only Kate Moss, Leighton Meester, Abbey Lee Kershaw and also Lady Gaga. And sometimes I get inspired by Alice (in Wonderland) and Marie Antoinette, haha.

What online stores do you like to clip from?

Net-A-Porter
and Luisa Via Roma.

What are your 3 favorite sets of the ones you've made?

What's your favorite set created by another Polyvore member?

...because it's perfect! i love every single item and because this set is so...me.

We interviewed me,Shoegal last and she wants to know what's the longest it's taken you to make a set?

I don't know exactly...maybe about 30-40 minutes.

Got any feature requests for the team?

I'm sorry but I can't think of anything right now. Actually, I don't want you to change anything on Polyvore because I like the way it is.
