Embed Polyvore Sets on Your Blog

Bloggers, we're so thankful for all the support you show us! One of our favorite things to do is to catch up with all of your blogs and check out the creative ways you work Polyvore sets into your posts. Because we want you to have all the tools you need, we've made some changes to the embeds so that they're more useful to you and your readers. Whether you're showing off your personal style like Golestaneh, trendspotting like Sandra's Closet, or creating $150 outfit challenges like Fashion Me Fabulous, we hope that these improvements to the embed code will help your blog shine!

1) Larger size images for your sets. We noticed that bloggers like Fashion In My Eyes prefer to use a larger image size, so we added an image size option to suit your blogging style. You can now choose from three sizes: 300 x 300, 400 x 400, or 500 x 500 pixels.

2) Improved item list with images and direct links to stores. Suggesting your favorite items to your readers? You can choose to embed a list of all the items in your set. The list can be displayed as a list of links, or as a list with thumbnail images. Also, the list now links directly to stores, instead of back to Polyvore, making it easier for your readers to buy products with fewer clicks! We introduced this change because we saw that bloggers like Golestaneh were customizing their item lists.

To add a set to a blog post, just go to the set page and click "Embed on your blog". Copy & paste the code you see to your blog and your embedded set will look like this:

Interview with Mrs. Urie

The world of style is always changing, so it's not uncommon to see personal Polyvore styles evolve, too! Mrs. Urie has been a Polyvore member for 3 years, and her creativity continues to bloom. Check out how her layouts have progressively moved from the layered look to mosaics:

Tell us about yourself.

Hi! I'm Hannah and I live in Upstate, New York. I'm a student and I'm hoping to study journalism at the University of Miami when I am finished with high school.

How would you describe your sense of style/fashion?

I honestly thought long and hard about this, but I would have to say it is edgy/casual. I would wear a studded low cut top with a pair of jeans and some gladiators. I usually wear edgy tops with easy plain bottoms. I don't want to be an eyesore! Ha

What's hot in your 'hood right now?

I'm definitely liking that people are catching onto the Alexander Wang-esque braids, and the sailor look. I'm glad people know what's going on! But, on bad clothing choices unfortunately, people are keeping their winter UGGs and pairing with denim shorts! I hope people will stop doing that.

What's one thing you wish people would wear more of?

I wish people would wear more leather and studs. Yes, there is such thing as all-weather leather! I would love to one day own a leather shirt or something of that nature that is cheap. As for studs -- they're so cute!

How did you discover Polyvore

I discovered Polyvore in a magazine a long time ago, but I remember never checking it out until my friend showed me and I instantly became addicted- making 5 or 6 sets a day!

Tell us a little about what you use Polyvore for and why. What do you like about Polyvore?

I use Polyvore to express my sense of fashion. I also use Polyvore to become inspired about what to wear and honestly, I developed a deep passion for fashion by using the website! I just love it and it's a great way to show what you like!

If you could share one tip or trick with a new Polyvore member, what would it be?

My tip would be to ignore your amount of favorites. It's your set, you should be happy for it and you should be proud of your art! I know people are competitive for faves and contacts but this is your creation and favorites shouldn't matter to you!

Do you have a favorite fashion designer or style icon who has influenced you?

I have to say I am in LOVE with Chanel, Balmain, Alexander Wang, Alexander McQueen, Chloe, and Philip Lim are all my faves. I also am influenced by all the girls on The Hills! I adore all their outfit choices. I love Olivia Palermo and the Kardashian sisters' styles, too.

What online stores do you like to clip from?

I love clipping from Net-A-Porter, La Garconne, and Bird. I would die for the clothes on those sites!

What are your 3 favorite sets of the ones you've made?

What's your favorite set created by another Polyvore member?

A set by my best friend about Lady Gaga. I've always loved this set by her and I heart Gaga, of course! This set is perfect!

We interviewed Fashionmint last and she wanted to ask if you actually wear all the clothes you buy?

Hmm, actually I've bought a couple of things that I've regretted not wearing at all. I still have some stuff I need to wear though!

Got any feature requests for the Polyvore team?

I've always wanted to make Polyvore sets on my iPod touch! I think that would be very cool if that was a new feature/app for the iPhone!

Help Us Design the Official Polyvore Coffee Mug!

We're designing our Polyvore schwag and want you to help style it! (In case you're not familiar with the term 'schwag,' it refers to those cool promotional items that companies give away.)

Our first design project is for a Polyvore mug and we want to feature your sets on it. We thought it would be fun to incorporate your sets into the design, because after all, you guys are the real stylists!

Here are the rules:
- Create a set using items from the Spring-inspired wardrobe below.
- If you'd like to add text to your set, you can do so by using the fonts available in the Editor.
- You may also use images from in your set, but if the images don't have good resolution, we may not be able to use your set.

10 sets will be incorporated into the final design for the mug (talk about bragging rights!) and each winner will also receive one of the mugs when they're ready. Good luck!
