Interview with MISSLENNY

One thing's for certain, MISSLENNY has always had a knack for creating mosaic sets. For the last two years, she's been piecing together feminine and flirty outfits with all the fashion trimmings on Polyvore. From ruffled skirts and dresses to macaroons, MISSLENNY's sets have it all.

Here are some of her sets:

Tell us about yourself.

I'm from Romania but right now I'm studying here in Barcelona, Spain. My dream is to go into cinematography and direct movies.

What's the story behind your Polyvore name?

Lenny is my real name, it comes from Helen.

How would you describe your sense of style?

My style is in constant evolution, it is a mix of several styles -- a little contemporary, a little vintage, a little indie, and a little girly. At the moment, I adore military style. I find inspiration in everything (art, books, music, movies, people, travel and street style).

What's hot in your 'hood right now?

In Barcelona, people are very creative, very original and very funky. The city is very special and a multitude of cultures can be found here. People have a cool attitude and urban style (everything from 80s style to Avant Garde or Surrealism)

What's one thing you wish people would wear more of?

Hats, satchels, high heels and more accessories!

How did you discover Polyvore?

I discovered Polyvore two years ago by chance and it is very therapeutic for me.

Tell us a little about what you use Polyvore for and why. What do you like about Polyvore?

Polyvore is full of creativity and is inspirational! Polyvore helps me discover trends, collections, designers and ideas. On Polyvore, people all around the world let their imagination free. I make my dream outfits on Polyvore that I try to use in my daily life.

If you could share one trip or trick with a new Polyvore member, what would it be?

The secret to a good set is originality and imagination. Many Polyvore members are so talented and full of innovative ideas, it is a real pleasure to meet interesting and creative people on here.

Do you have a favorite fashion designer or style icon who has influenced you?

At the moment, I'm fascinated by Christopher Kane's space collection. I appreciate many designers, especially young designers, but I really love Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, Miuccia Prada, Proenza Schouler, Comme de Garcons and Dries Van Notten. I'm not sure if I have a style icon, but I absolutely adore Clemence Poesy, Chloe Sevigny, Irina Lazareanu, Alexa Chung and Kirsten Dunst.

What are your favorite online stores to clip from?

La Garconne, Topshop, Forever 21 and Colette.

What are your 3 favorite sets of the ones you've made?

What's your favorite set created by another Polyvore member?

Got any feature requests for the Polyvore team?

You're doing an amazing job and I think everything is perfect right now!!!!
