Interview with RegallyBlonde

Today's interview is with RegallyBlonde, who has been an active Polyvore member for nine months. As an art lover, she blends fashion, design, text, and musical influence beautifully in all her sets.

Tell us about yourself.

Hi, I'm Rebekah. I'm 26 years old and live in Sacramento, CA.

What are your personal aspirations?

I've been interested in the idea of being a textile designer or a visual merchandiser for a while. But when it comes down to it, I would be content creating art in my own studio.

How has Polyvore affected your life?

When I stumbled upon Polyvore, I could not believe there was such a website that combined everything I love including fashion, art, and music in the most creative way. Since I was little, I've been interested in art and fashion. In college, the two subjects were very separate from each other. Yet I was constantly trying to find ways of combining the two. It is because of Polyvore that I am able to express my creative passions so clearly and now I find myself learning more about today's fashion industry along with my personal sense of style.

Describe your personal sense of style.

I keep my outfits modest and demure while adding a fresh and modern twist, whether it be a dynamic color combo, an unexpected mix of textures, or an interesting design. I like to wear simple and classy pieces that have stood the test of time and mix in a few trendy items here and there.

What are some of your favorite brands?

3.1 Phillip Lim, Chloe, Rag & Bone, Vanessa Bruno, Kate Spade, Miu Miu, and Marc Jacobs.

Got any feature requests for the Polyvore team?

My only suggestion for Polyvore is to create a more sophisticated rotating tool. Many times when I try to rotate an image 90° or 180° the edges aren't clean so I end up using the tool multiple times in order to get perfect edges. Other than that, I am completely impressed with all that Polyvore has to offer! I am so happy to be a part of this amazing community!
