To search for images in these categories, just type them into the search box in the editor. You can apply a transparency effect to images in these categories and color blocks, as well as change the color of images using this tool in the editor:

I LOVE and ADORE this new feature. I actually had a dorky dream about this, and meant to write to Polyvore to ask whether you might implement an opacity feature, but this is even better! :)
It would be awesome if we could resize the overlays, etc. without maintaining the aspect ratio. For example, it would be great to be able to stretch out a pattern into a rectangle!

These are really great but I know I won't remember the category names when I'm looking for them, can the "groups" be added to the embellishments section of the main items tab please. Also as others have mentioned, some items that we used to be able to remove some of the backgrounds on are now just solid images, can these be changed back?

These sound like fabulous ideas. I can't wait to use them! I would love to see a search box and/or color palette in the 'My Items' section. It would make finding what I'm looking for or a number of things in a specific color so much easier. Please, please, please consider this!

these new things are amazing! but i think i speak for a lot of people when i say that the text really needs to be fixed! when you type something and put a space between words, it puts the next word UNDER the previous word instead of next to it. this causes some difficulty because you either have to put underscores instead of spaces and then cover them up, or make each individual word by itself. Fixing this spacing issue would be greatly appreciated! (:

I'm confused ... I don't see any new categories under Embellishments ... all I see is Background, Text, Music, Colors, and Frames & Borders. I have dumped my cache in all my browsers (all 3) and still don't see anything.
Wonderful new aid to improve our set.What is absent is still the tool that helps us to apply a transparency or change color.How do I put this tool?

i love the added textures.
Would it be possible to have a 'move to the very back/front' button? That way if you have a set with lots of items in it already & you decide to add another, you can just move it straight to the back rather than having to continuously press the back button! Thank you! =]
I think this is a really awesome idea and plan on using it a lot! But I have one question: Could you guys possibly put it on the All Items Home Page in the Editor under Embellishments? That would make these awesome tools much easier to find for all polyvore users.

I like the idea of having a tool bar in polyvore. Kinda like on facebook that says "whats on ur mind". Maybe put the tool bar in the poly members profile.
That be fun to see whats people are say in groups and what our contact friends are says. I'd like people to see what I say.

I like our general comment to come out on the left, where we get our group announcements. =)
