Today's spotlight is on amber-nicki-rose, whose set style is easily one of the most recognized on Polyvore. She's been a Polyvore member for two years and has an amazing eye for identifying what celebrities, bloggers, and fashionistas are wearing around town. Here are some of her sets:

Tell us about yourself.

My name is Béatrice and I'm a 22-year old Journalism student. I live in Bordeaux, France, but often go to Paris to shop with my sisters. I am a real shopaholic! I created my blog a few months ago to share my outfits and my style.

What's the story behind your Polyvore name?

I chose amber-nicki-rose as my Polyvore profile name because I love Amber Rose and Nicki Minaj.
Amber Rose is very photogenic, she has such a beautiful face and smile. Nicki Minaj is such a talented rapper and singer -- I love her voice, her songs, and her style.

What are your personal aspirations?

I would like to be a fashion journalist. I'd love to travel around the world to attend the fashion week and see celebrities like Anna Wintour, Victoria Beckham, Rachel Bilson sitting next to me at a fashion show.
It would be so exciting!

How has Polyvore affected your life?

I can say that Polyvore has changed my life! Before Polyvore, I knew famous brands like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Burberry, Gucci, Fendi... but now it's different, I know many more. And when I see people in the streets, I'm able to recognize the brands of bags or shoes they are wearing because I saw them on Polyvore. My sister and my friends are always surprised by this and ask: "How do you
know that?" And I answer: "Thanks to Polyvore!"

Describe your personal sense of style.

I love wearing mini skirts even if it's cold outside. It may be strange but I feel free with my mini skirt on! A mini skirt, blazer, loose top, satchel bag, high heels, and let's go! I really don't care what people say about my style and my outfits, I wear what I love. I don't mind if it doesn't please others as long as it pleases me. If I feel good, that's all that matters.

What are your favorite brands?

My favorite brands are Hermes and Chanel for bags, especially the Chanel 2.55 in black and gold -- I would die for it! I love Christian Louboutin for shoes, the Daffodile platform pumps are so amazing but I'm not sure I could walk with them! I also like Alexander Wang for sweaters and tops because the cuts are often asymmetrical and very original. I love J Brand jeans. Balmain and Isabel Marant make beautiful blazers and jackets.

Today's spotlight is on fuur. We fell in love with her keen eye for minimalist style and were curious to know more about her. Hailing from Canada (our neighbor up north), she's been on Polyvore for over two years and has dreams of pursuing a career in product design. Here are some of her sets:

Tell us about yourself.

I'm Melissa. I'm 19 years old and I live in Canada. I'm an architecture student at the University of Manitoba. I currently run a local store here part-time that caters to the male population. I'm really interested in product design at the moment, but I've always had an eye for designing clothes, furniture, and all.

What are your personal aspirations?

I'm really hoping to pursue my career in the faculty of architecture and product design.

How has Polyvore affected your life?

I've been using Polyvore for over 2 years now and it's changed how I look at clothing. I've been exposed to more brands, designers, and online shops. Whenever I save an item I feel like I've gone shopping. I have so many items clipped and saved and I love going through them and using them all. It's also changed my life in the sense that I spend most of my online time on here making sets.

Describe your personal sense of style.

I would have to say I'm a minimalist. I wear a lot of plain fabrics and dark colors. I also wear a lot of shift dresses.

What are some of your favorite brands?

Dieppa Restrepo, Slow & Steady Wins the Race, ACNE, Margiela, and Wilfred from Aritzia.

Got any feature requests for the Polyvore team?

I really have none for you guys. I love the activity analytics you share with us now. It's always been easy to use and follow. If there is any way I can be more involved online I would love to know.

New! Top, Following, and Likes Tabs

Dear Polyvore community,

It's been a few weeks since we redesigned our homepage. We're still working on improving it.

We heard you loud & clear that you don't like Top Sets being mixed with content from people you're following. Many of you also wanted an easier way to find stuff your friends liked.

Today we're introducing a change that separates your feed into Top, Following and <3s. Top is for Top Sets.  Following is for sets & collections from people you're following. <3s is for sets & collections your friends liked, so you can discover great new people to follow.  You can get to these sections by navigating the tabs on the homepage.

We realize our header and navigation is a bit cluttered due to this change. We'll be working on fixing that in the coming days and weeks.

Member Spotlight: twintwo

Today's spotlight is on twintwo, who (as the name suggests) is indeed a twin! She's been a Polyvore member for a year now and her sets are beautiful, simple layouts of stylish and practical outfits. We've definitely learned a thing or two about fashion by following her. And judging by her sets below, our guess is that she loves a good leopard print handbag:

Tell us about yourself.

My name is Melanie. I'm a web designer from Brooklyn. I love to try out new restaurants and bars (there's an inexhaustible supply in this city), go to museums, galleries and shows (always good people-watching), and of course, shop... though I've been trying to cut down on that since I have no closets in my apartment! Also, I really am a twin. Yes, identical... and yes, we've fooled people recently. But not intentionally!

What are your personal aspirations?

I would love to travel more, and maybe even live abroad for a while. I fell in love with Lisbon when I visited last year, and I've always wanted to learn (Brazilian) Portuguese... someday hopefully!

How has Polyvore affected your life?

Polyvore is a great creative outlet and stress-reliever. It's really helped me develop and refine my own style, and introduced me to a lot of different styles I normally wouldn't appreciate (ie. couture as streetwear. It IS possible!). There are some real artists and thinkers in the Polyvore community!

Describe your personal sense of style.

I tend towards boyish, unfussy looks in dark jewel tones and warm neutrals, but try to inject a pop of bright color, pattern, or bling for a feminine and/or modern touch. Living with limited closet space - and growing older - has given me a better appreciation for the fit and quality of my clothes, and I've become much more picky about what I buy. (Though I'm still guilty of impulse shopping... sample sales are my frenemy.) I like to mix-and-match trends to create a classic look - skinny pants, animal print, menswear (I especially love oxfords), colorblocking, 70s-inspired silky blouses, and flared jeans, etc.

I would wear this everyday if I could:

What are some of your favorite brands?

If I could afford them: 3.1 Phillip Lim, Isabel Marant, Rachel Comey, Acne, A Détacher, Céline, Chloé... I don't follow brands too closely, but those are the ones I find myself attracted to again and again, sometimes without realizing it. Where I actually shop: J.Crew, Uniqlo, Zara, and sample sales!

Got any feature requests for the Polyvore team?

I think the recent changes are great... but organizing and tagging items seems a bit inefficient. I'd like a way to delete or edit tags.
