When an image is clipped to Polyvore, we do our best to crop out the background from behind it. However, sometimes there is still a tiny outline around the image. So we’ve been working to refine our background removal process so that this is less visible.
To give you a visual, check out these before and after sets:

So that we’re sure not to alter sets you’ve already created, this refinement will only be applied to new images that are clipped into Polyvore from this point on. We hope you find this improvement to images helpful. Stay tuned for more image quality improvements!

It's pretty obvious to me. Open both the pictures so you can see them full-size. There's a funky white border around the original and it's gone on the new one. If I'm using a darker background I ALWAYS have to re-clip things myself, so hopefully this will change that! :)

This was a great update. There are items that I haven't used because of the white line issue, and everything doesn't look good when you custom crop the image. So, thanks!

I have one important request, It is very very important to me to save all my sets (on my computer),,I used to press the "likes" ( the section where you can see who liked your set) to save my set as a whole image...Now that you've changed this section, I couldn't save my sets anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!! =(

For people that can't see anything. If you look around the edge of the clothing, espically on the jeans can you a small white outline. Then on look at the next one. Thank-you Polyvore.

There is a difference. I can see it. In the first image there is a think lip of white outline left over from removing the background of the images.
The second picture, the white linen isn't visible at all.
Image transparency is important when layering and creating sets, especially collage like look.
I hope they can fix the images that get foreground disturbed. I know for a fact a few pictures I've tried to use in a new set look fine until you drag them in. Pieces of the actual image dither out and have basically holes within the image.

While yes, this is a nice improvement, I'd like to make a suggestion. To make it easier for mobile users, make it so it stops sending you to a set automatically viewing all comments. I've tried to comment on a set I like that was very popular, over a thousand comments. When my phone tries to load all of that data, it crashes. Normally, it would work just fine with viewing 50 comments at first. I don't even know why it's changed, or if it is like that for everyone.
Too many bugs in the editor, especially on my little laptop screen(11.8"). When i use 15.4" editor seems to work better.
