I created a tag that I don't want. But it still shows up in my dropdown list of tags. How do I delete it???

Oh I am doing such a happy dance! Hi to all my friends I see here!
I have loved Polyvore from the beginning. I have been away from my computer since Christmas time and so glad to see this blog! Gabyg your suggestions are awesome and Laura Deane from the beginning, I have been requesting the rotate and fonting and transparencies and have been dying for a save as draft thing as I need to reboot a lot or one of the kids runs the microwave which pops the fuse and I lose everything...lol, and the sort by color I have wished for and we all have reached the 50 items used and cuss it hahhaa.
I guess we all think alike sometimes! I thought I was the only one wanting so much in the editing area! I wish I could incorporate my PSP into Polyvore...hahaaa!
I sure hope we get some of the suggestions. I so agree on the recent set area change too.

I find it disturbing that this site takes images of others' work, removes watermarks when there is one, and places it on the site without giving the artist credit.

This needs to stop ASAP.

i agree with everyone. it will be so nice if Draft and the GabyG ideas about contests really happend... but again i soooo agree with Laura too, i have more needs on the editor then on the site itself. rotate is that what i most miss there. and so will be nice when we can put texts (so we could upload the fonts maybe) hanm???

I would like to be able to rotate objects and add transparency so that layering would be easier. I would also like to be able to sort my items by color like the main page of items. Also, it would be neat to have a clipboard feature where we could set aside items that we want to use in a set while we are working on the set itself. I also think it would be cool to have a place on our profiles where our sets are ranged by popularity. I'd also love to learn more about the creators.

first of all, congrats for the blog! i've another suggestion: on the main page you can see some of the users but maybe it'd be better a list of all polyvore users and a link to his profile. i know there is toooo many people but maybe it can appear in alphabetical order, like in own page of our items... its only a suggestion :)

Yes, I know that before I stayed up for HOURS working on a contest entry that I was really happy with, but then another set won. I also agree that most of the time, the set that wins is definitely not the best one. And some people have really great and creative entries, too! It's such a shame. Some people have won contests like 4 or 5 times, and that's not really fair. Although I completely loved the winning design for the most recent contest, I don't think that "public voting" is a good idea, just because people are biased, some members get more publicity, and it's really a matter of luck. If your set ends up on the first page more often than not, it will get more votes.

also i think the recent sets regulation is great.

what i would like to suggest is some kind of tagg to tell fashion sets and arty sets appart.

i think a lot do great collages and art stuff,
but i am more interested in the fashion set.

and to end just let me tell you that i love polyvore.
it saved a lot of rainy and darkgrey days this winter :)

I really like the idea of the "draft" mode. This would be extremely helpful and much appreciated! As for the contests that Polyvore holds, I totally agree with what ~*fabulous*~ said about the voting; it should not be by the Polyvore community. I have refused to vote in any of the contests and I also agree with everything gabyg and yazzyyaz have with regards to them. It is far too time consuming! With public voting, the sets with the most favourites tend to be the winners of the contests, so the most popular sets win over sets that may be just as good or even better but aren't as popular. It also seems like the same people win over and over. While I think a lot of the winners are extremely talented and make excellent sets I think there needs to be some kind of limit as to how many prizes you can take. I'd like to see the voting done only by the people who are sponsoring the contest.

hey! i have a question.... is it possible that the item limit could be changed? sometimes i am simply choosing "possible" items to use in my sets, when i cant add anymore. it would be so great if the limit would be increased! i know many people have problems with this! thanks :)

I thought it's a great idea as I do update my sets occasionally, and seems wierd it ended up as a recent set. Also I noticed some sets keep popping up as recent even though they were done much earlier!

Wish list? A 'save as draft' function. Or else i will have sleepless nights updating on Polyvore!

I agree with you fabulous..on the contests..when I tried to vote on them before, I made sure to only vote after I saw all the sets, and then it was so hard to mark the ones that I liked to be able to get back to them..I added them to my favorites, and left a comment, on an effort to make it easier to find them, but even then, trying to find them back on the actual contest page was beyond labor intensive, and I finally gave up after voting for 2 contests. There has to be some better system to do that.. And I also think the sets for the contests should be anonymous, to make sure that the best sets have a chance and not the most "popular" ones.

Oh yes - and about Contests. I love them, but I really don't like the Community Votes ones. They are very unfair, and not all of the entries get the same amount of consideration. I try to be fair when voting, but I know that most people only bother to look past the first 2 or 3 pages.

I like the appearing once idea too, but I still think that it's good you have fixed this. I personally only update my sets if I want to change the name or tweak something in them, but I was getting pretty tired of seeing the same sets over and over and over! However, I do know that some people like to save their sets when they are not done, so maybe having the sets appear in Recent Sets only once is not a good idea. But a limit would be nice - for example, people could only have their set appear 5 times (although they could still edit it).

I JUST read the "Draft Mode" comment, and I think that's a great idea! :)

Another suggestion for the Explore page: Featured Members? There is a lot of undiscovered talent on Polyvore, so (like I have been doing for the Polyvore Press), it might be a cool idea to feature members with really good sets who don't get a lot of recognition (or just are very active). Kind of like on Trendiki, they have "Featured Fashionistas" and when someone is featured, they get a button for their page. Just a suggestion. But I do know how some people are turning Polyvore into a popularity contest, so this may cause some majorly unhealthly competition.

which reminds, me, i also noticed that you removed the tag option from sets. was there a reason for that? i was using that feature but i think maybe alot of people weren't because they didn't understand the value of it.
